New Enhancement: Identify your dups on My Lists
When you Create a My List you may get a message that duplicate keys (IDs) were found.
Now you can identify those duplicate keys when you Create a My List by simply titling the name of your My List with a ' dups' or ' DUPS' (note that there is a single space prior to dups).
For example, when you create a My List and receive notification of duplicates:![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDkEodZQg6VvNiJN2IxNMwkYPhSRUzLz8vy1KYME8oNaUneW5TaohPlA-JNDgfqIAGE8rXDHssT22g8am8EKeoyLcZOVYKCZHuJ_eyHzFovHagAIx49z3VkzfXi6LGyE2AiwhpDyIeeKA/s320/Picture0005.png)
Submit it again with ' dups' in the title:

This new My List will contain only those IDs that had duplicate records.
Tip: You can go to Maintain My Lists under the General Utilities tab and utilize the utility to take a list and subtract out matching IDs (Option #2). This will allow you to derive those single (non-duplicated) IDs.

How current is the ODS data?
The ODS refresh process begins at 6pm nightly.
You can check on its status as well as completion time by running the "When was the ODS last refreshed?" report available on DART BOARD's Welcome tab in the upper right hand corner.
Further details on each process and its completion times are available through drilldowns on the report.

Is DARTBOARD Slow?
Internet Explorer's accumulation of temporary files can slow down your system over time if you do not delete them. It is a good practice to take the time to periodically maintain your system to prevent this from occuring.
You can delete Internet Explorer's temporary files by selecting "Tools", "Internet Options". Under the General Tab select "Delete" in Browser History and then "Delete files..." in Temporary Internet Files.

New Enhancements: Documentation and Limits
As I write this post, most templates are being generated with the following new enhancements:
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfH6070iwlFbnEgjRBonxR5Aqj9DVSj5I1_egeDgLOcaWZHBuoEwVHIky9xotv7zUE-ge8DsrzaQxOpraJf_dri3pTT47s0g8trk0EIIKdUCYOziGScqeOXerjGkh6AA74P_kci-xXhaM/s320/Picture0002.png)
Documentation is available by clicking on the hand above the submit now icon. This will provide you documentation for the template along with a narrative. Anyone is invited to help assist in this project by sending a description of a template and how they use it by to sashi@fau.edu with a subject line of Narrative.
Users may choose to limit their data if desired. For example, this may be useful when an individual has multiple addresses ordered by sequence number. One may select Sort Descending along with Limit 1 Value on Report to report the latest address.
Please feel free to contact me if you have other ideas for enhancements or questions at ext. 7-3156.

ODS Prod Academic Study Reports
There have been some changes with the new ODS V8 release that went into effect over the holidays. One of the changes affected the Academic Study View. The ACADEMIC_STUDY view was not working like it used to because Sungard has changed it to identify “active” students. However, since FAU’s records do not conform to the Sungard’s “active” records criteria, we were missing many records in this view.
This was not identified and resolved until today.
Please note that because of this, your reports which you generated earlier this week was using a database that held far fewer records than it should have and may not have been accurate.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding the above.
